Neither his xFIP (0.51 between sides) nor his strikeout rate (1.5 points) moves much depending on the batter’s hand. That is worth knowing too: the read on his night has to come from somewhere else.
| xFIP | K% | BB% | K-BB% | HR/9 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| vs left-handed batters | 4.33 | 20.7 % | 6.8 % | 13.9 % | 0.71 |
| vs right-handed batters | 4.84 | 19.2 % | 7.1 % | 12.1 % | 1.95 |
xFIP rather than SIERA by hand: FanGraphs does not publish SIERA in its splits. The two describe the same thing and correlate at about 0.95.
