Neither his xFIP (0.25 between sides) nor his strikeout rate (2.2 points) moves much depending on the batter’s hand. That is worth knowing too: the read on his night has to come from somewhere else.
| xFIP | K% | BB% | K-BB% | HR/9 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| vs left-handed batters | 3.21 | 26.1 % | 7.2 % | 18.9 % | 0.47 |
| vs right-handed batters | 2.96 | 28.4 % | 7.1 % | 21.3 % | 0.58 |
xFIP rather than SIERA by hand: FanGraphs does not publish SIERA in its splits. The two describe the same thing and correlate at about 0.95.
