Neither his xFIP (0.20 between sides) nor his strikeout rate (6.5 points) moves much depending on the batter’s hand. That is worth knowing too: the read on his night has to come from somewhere else.
| xFIP | K% | BB% | K-BB% | HR/9 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| vs left-handed batters | 3.55 | 26.6 % | 4.3 % | 22.3 % | 1.59 |
| vs right-handed batters | 3.75 | 20.1 % | 9.7 % | 10.4 % | 0.80 |
xFIP rather than SIERA by hand: FanGraphs does not publish SIERA in its splits. The two describe the same thing and correlate at about 0.95.
